A few years after the introduction of the famed Hublot Big Bang, the brand released the Classic Fusion collection. A simpler counterpart to the bold chronograph line, the Classic Fusion is a stripped down and more straightforward watch, yet sports all the brand’s fundamental design elements. Reminiscent of the original Hublot watch that made its debut in 1980, the earliest versions of the Classic Fusion timepieces featured the porthole-shaped case with the characteristic six H-shaped screws on the bezel, a black dial with three center hands and a date window at 3 o’clock, and of course the black rubber strap that made the company so famous. Over the course of its short history, Hublot has extended the Classic Fusion line to include plenty of sizes, materials, designs, and complications for both gents and ladies. The Hublot Classic Fusion watches are available with 45mm, 43mm, 38mm, and 33mm sized cases and in 2012, the brand presented the Classic Fusion Extra-Thin Skeleton measuring only 2.9mm thick.
The Hublot Classic Fusion collection offers wearers a range of functions and high complications from chronographs to tourbillons and everything in between. The Classic Fusion Aerofusion Chronograph allows a view of the HUB1155 self-winding chronograph movement within through a skeletonized dial while the dial of the Classic Fusion Aerofusion Moonphase shows off its HUB1131 self-winding moonphase movement. The Classic Fusion Cathedral Tourbillon Minute Repeater, powered by the manual-wound HUB8001 caliber, is an impressive grand complication timepiece from Hublot that combines the beautiful sounds of a striking complication with the accuracy of a tourbillon escapement.
A number of the Classic Fusion watches are crafted exclusively for women with smaller sizes and diamond options. Classic Fusion watches for ladies in titanium or King Gold — the proprietary 18k red gold alloy made by Hublot that’s redder than traditional red gold — feature diamond-set bezels or full diamond pavé cases and dials.
Among Hublot’s collections, the Classic Fusion watches offer a more restrained approach yet, they are still infused with the brand’s principal aesthetic codes, thus recognizable as Hublot timepieces. Secondhand Classic Fusion luxury watches, whether pre-owned chronographs or used high complication pieces, can be found in the secondary market at great values. Plus, previously owned ladies’ Hublot Classic Fusion diamond watches can also be purchased at much lower prices.
